Ok, i suppose you meant "How can i make my 56kbps internet connection faster". I guess you are connecting to the internet via phone dialing, using a modem. You will not get higher speeds using the same connection, but you may optimize and concentrate it all in what you want to do. Modem connections are very slow nowadays. You can get a 1mbps internet connection for some bucks now, and it's even cheaper than phone dialing (depends on how many hours you use your internet connection). But you can't make it faster keeping the same connection, you may want to install a firewall (or use Windows Firewall) and you will be able to decide which programs can connect to the internet. Ask any internet provider and you will see it's not that expensive and you can keep the computer online all day long without worrying about spending money. Apart from that, you don't use your phone line, means you can be talking on the phone and surfing the internet at a time! Hope this helps!!!!

Some dialup modems are faster than others but no matter what you run, even 53K(highest speed allowed by law) dialup is SLOW. Have the phone company do a "line test" of your phone line as defects in your phone line slows you down.
Running thru fibre-optic telephone plant or certain "pair-gain" telephone plant can slow dial-up down. Best thing for dial-up is copper all the way from the Central Office to the modem.
On the other hand fibre-optic switches at the ISP are faster than copper switches so if you have a cheapo ISP they can be using outdated equip or are not running enough T1 lines to give them the bandwidth they need to properly service all their customers. It may be time to just bite the bullet and go with DSL or Cable.

You mean how to make the internet faster?
If so, get DSL, or cable instead of Dial Up.
If not, I don't understand your question:
56kbps refers to the maximun dial up speed in the market, but making a computer faster is a totally different animal.
