There's no nudity in HSM... Why on earth would that affect your decision as to why they can watch a film? If it's on moral grounds, then I'd dispute why they even know the pictures exist...

This is the first I'd heard of it. What a terrible shame! I think it totally stinks when someone gets fame and others have to step in and try to ruin it. No, you are not wrong in letting your daughter still watch HSM. It would make a big deal out of it if you DID stop her. It adds to the panic and impulsiveness people have to judge and condemn. This is a young girl who is of legal age who did something in private and believed it would stay private. Imagine how she is feeling right now. She probably feels she has let everyone down. And who knows how Disney might handle this. They have more power than God. I'm glad you asked this question. I'm letting my daughter watch them. She's only just about one, but I would let her if she was older as well. :-)

I would let your kids watch High School Musical despite the Vanessa Hodgens (sp?) photo scandal. I'm sure she feels some remorse and regret for what she has done, and that she meant for those photos to be private and not leaked out on the internet and in the tabloids. However, if I were her, I would've taken steps (start a non-profit organization, petitioning the neighborhood) to make sure this does not happen to future child/teen stars. She should fight this.

i'm sure you've seen movies where the actors have been caught doing drugs, or driving drunk (in real life) - so to not allow your child to watch hsm b/c of what this actor on the show did, would be hypocritical

Let them watch but make sure they don't become a fan.If anything let them admire Ashley, she may be mean in the movie but at least in real life she's a decent role model.

I think not. She's not a good example for children when she lets pictures of her being nude out for use across the internet and tv. If she had any respect for herself she wouldn't need to take pictures in the nude. Supposedly the pics were for Zac Efron, which I don't believe, because he seems fake and kind of gay too. Nonetheless, she's not a good person for your kids to look up too. Hollywood doesn't have females that are role models. That's the sad reality.

I don't understand why this should bother you. If you do this you will make your children ashamed of their bodies and think that nudity is a horrible thing. Why is it such a big deal that someone took a picture of this girl naked? The one that should be persecuted here is the person that leaked these photos that were obviously intended to be private.
She did nothing wrong and that is what you should teach your kids.

you should let them watch high school musical. It shouldn't matter what she did when she was younger. she said it was a mistake that she regretted and she's learned her lesson and moved on. hollywood is one who scrutinizes them and then forgives them when they have a comeback.
the high school musical 1 and 2 is really good.
