That depends on if you have a checking, or savings account at the bank you plan to cash your check.
If you hav an account they normally do not charge a cashing fee; you will need a photo ID, and you may want to check with the bank on their check cashing policies for the next time, or open an account.

If you plan on cashing a payroll check at a store, or other place they often charge a $3.00 and up cashing fee, or more if you do not purchase anything.
Either way you will always need a drivers license, or other type of photo ID to cash any check.

To cash a check at a bank, you need to have a checking or savings account with that bank. Opening a savings account usually requires a minimum deposit amount that is around $50-$100, depending on the bank you choose.
You can open a checking account at very little cost (some reqire you keep a minimum balance though).
If your parents have a bank account, you can cash it there but one of them needs to be present and probably has to co-sign your pay check. It costs nothing extra.
The other option is to go to a check cashing place but they charge a percentage to cash it.

In the USA- if you have an account at the bank that you are going to cash it at then they will need to see your I.D., you will have to endorse the check- meaning sign your name on the back of it (sign your name as it is written on the front..ie..if they have included your middle initial on the front then include it in your signature.) If you do not have an account with the bank where you are cashing it then they might charge a small fee..usually so much per hundred dollars, not a huge amount so don't worry. Congrats on getting your first paycheck! :o)

if you go to a bank that u have an account at they will just need your id, if you do not have a bank you will have to go to the bank that the check is written from, and again thy will need your id. if u cash a check at the bank then they do not take part of it. and you wont need your parents unless you sing the check over to them. meaning they will deposite into their bank account and then give u the money
