ok so im writeing a story thats based in italy in the early 1800's and I really need a deathly sickness that was big in the early 1800's in italy. I really need someone to answer fast because I really need to finish this story im only stuck on this part. and in the time peirod did they live like us? like with the horses and the farms? and stuff?

In Italy, early 1800 the most devastating epidemic with deathly effect was the cholera (from 1835 to 1837).
It mortally hited mostly the centre and the south of Italy where the hygienic conditions,at those times, were really bad.
Obviously the level of the life was similar to other countries and horses were representing the most common mean of transport. Also there were no industries and the main activity was the agricolture. That's all folks.
