You will get much advise for this. Each of us learns to control our stress to an extent in different ways. A method that works for one may not necessarily work for another. I think the answer is to keep searching for a method or methods that work for you.
Mine is to relax for 5 minutes. Think of nothing, and just relax.
Washing the face sometimes helps.
Aroma therapy works for some.
Avoiding certian foods may help.

I am a very poetic person. So whenever I feel stressed out I take it out on a piece of paper and a pencil and just write it out. Also love listening to the soft love songs...very calming.

"Me Time" (alone) and sometimes a few beers as well. Yeah music is wonderful for that too.
