Do you listen to it loud enough for everyone around you to hear it or loud enough just for you to hear?

I bump my music pretty loud. I do not do it intentionally for everyone else to hear, I just really like it loud. I have no idea why I like it like that but I do. Except when the cops are around. They have a noise ordinance where I live.

If you like your music loud it's not being a poser (who uses that anymore) it's just preference. I never said I did it all the time I just said prefer it to be loud.

Well, I'm 45 and I do play my music loud! Too loud actually. I'm actually trying to make a conscious effort to turn the volume down and keep it down. It's hard, because I like rock. Rock is a loud music that's meant to be played and enjoyed at a loud volume. However, from a safety standpoint.. Music in the car should be at a low volume. Cars have great sound insulation now. Too good. If you factor in sound insulation, air conditioner noise and add loud music into that... You won't hear the siren of an approaching ambulance until it's nearly too late, or already too late. So, for that reason, I am making a real effort to turn my volume down. But in my heart... I'll always be a "loud in the car" person. I'll just restrict cranking up the volume, to light traffic, in deserted areas... such as the drive to Las Vegas, from L.A.

With the price of gasoline, my windows are always down. I turn the radio volume up to 30; 55 is the highest it goes I believe. The music is not that loud, because you (and I) have to be cautious of any sirens and other thigns going on around you.

I put the settings to vocal, because although I tend to listen to the music for myself, it is preferred that someone hears what the song is saying rather than *bass bass thump thump* if and when they could hear it.

If I have a rap song playing and I see a car with kids in it and the vehicle's windows are rolled down, I'll turn the volume down to 18 out of respect for them.

I used to listen to it loud enough for everyone to hear but I recently took my sound system out so now I listen to it just loud enough for only me. Most of the time I don't even put the radio on....I get stuck in lala land.

loud enough to get the set in my car at a good quality. Not too loud though, but not too soft, but what I would call not too loud would probably still be too loud to a lot of people. I just like hearin the set, but at the same time, i try not to get a headache.
