I had a horrible experience at the Gyn. office the time I went for my first pelvic exam. The experience was so horrible, that i have refused to go for this year's exam. My mother, friends and sisters are telling me that I need to go, especially since my fiance and I are thinking about getting pregnant soon after the wedding. I know I have to go b/c
1. I'm due for my annual pelvic exam and
2. I need to figure out what I have to work on to ensure a healthy pregnancy.
But I have no idea how to go about finding a doctor! I tried using the search tool on my insurance's webpage, but it was useless. And the Dr. that the women in my family go to is pretty old. I want to find a doctor that I can feel comfortable with and that I know will be there to deliver all the children that God gives me. Additionally, most of my girlfriends go to random doctors for their annual exams and none have children. What do I do??

I have a friend in the Houston area that has a wonderful OB/GYN. E-mail me off site and I will give you the way to contact her. In the mean time here's a good site that might be able to help you find out more about good doctors in that area: http://www.RateMDs.com
