Many people consider River Rock Farm of Brimfield, MA, to have the best beef in the state. You don't have to live in Brimfield to get it as several stores carry it and, best of all, they deliver.

P.S. I think Savenor's is overrated. They rose to fame as Julia Child's personal butcher of choice. That was back in the 70s. Over the years, they lost their edge. And, of course, Julia Child is no longer alive to give them heck.

There was recently an article in the Sunday Globe about whether a $43 steak at a restaurant made any sense. They researched it and found out that the steak place charging that amount bought their steaks from a local purveyor and that the same Wolfe's Neck Farm steaks are also sold to Hannaford Super Market.

Roche Brothers sells very good meat. Also, you may want to check out some butcher shops in the North End.
