You wouldn't necessarily miscarry. But, It could be dangerous
for your fetus (birth defects) (depending on which ones your on.)
Although, if stopped early it may not have any effect, would
you want to take a chance like that?
If you were pregnant and taking b/c it is possible/likely that you will feel sick. REAL SICK. That's a combination of (2)
hormones in your body one from the pill and one from
the pregnancy.
When your pregnant, your body makes the hcg hormone, (Human chorionic gonadotropin)from your pregnancy, HCG hormones has a tendency to make us experience morning sickness, or nausea, thus anything we put in our body that doesn't agree will come up. At least for the first 30-90 days....
Don't rely on morning
sickness to tell you that your pregnant.
The smart thing to do, is make sure YOUR OK, by your GYN,
to you start taking the pill.
Good Luck

"Fetal abnormalities (including those of the vertebrae, anus, heart, trachea, esophagus, kidney, and limbs) have been reported in about 7 per 10,000 cases of exposure during pregnancy to OCs. Modified development of the sexual organs occur somewhat more frequently, about 3 per 1000 cases of exposure. Specifically, masculinization of female infants has been reported with norethindrone and norethynodrel. Increased blood bilirubin concentrations and jaundice has been reported in infants born to women who took oral contraceptives shortly before and after conception."

From personal experience, I had a perfectly healthy 7lb 14 oz. baby girl after taking the pill for the entire first trimester of my first pregnancy. (I still had what I thought was a light period for the first three months. By the time I skipped a period and went to the Ob/Gyn, I was 14 weeks into the pregnancy.)

No, you wouldn't definitely miscarry, but it might cause birth defects. A lot of women have gotten pregnant WHILE on birth control and continued to take it. Healthy babies have been born. It is not wise to continue or start birth control after being pregnant, but I'm sure you know that. I have heard of taking several doses (2 or 3) of BC as sort of a morning after pill, but I would not recommend that.

it depends on the contraception, the pill would ultimately be ok, as you could stop it, but others such as depo and implanon can effect the baby due to the hormones and steroids and because you don't always get your period, so you wouldn't know if you were pregnant.

Your DR. should give you a preg. test before prescribing you BC, as it can cause miscarriage, birth defects and much more.
**If your DR doesn't test you, test yourself before you start you BC.

nothing really bad, there is a slight risk of fetal deformity, but many women get pregnant while on the pill and don;t realisze it until they have been on it for quite a while after.

i would hope the damn doctor would do a test before they let you start any form of birth control (mine did) but if somehow you were and you begin birth control, you would miscarry. but you probably wouldn't even notice, as it would be just like a normal period, and thats not good for your body.
