he may tell u well u leave the seat down when u r down with your duties in the restroom .. so what men love most is the remote hide the remote.
no matter what u tell him abt the toilet seat he wont listen he is a man just like we dont put the toilet seat back down when we are done. or u can ask him to potty sitting down like muslims do. if u think about it everybody was toilet trained sitting down.
or u can take the toilet paper out of the bathroom when u know he has major dutys to make..
actions work louder than words with men they tune us out??

Putting the seat down consistently takes repetitive training lol. Just keep at it and ask that he does it. Try not to nag but rather say it in nice way. Now if he at least lifts the seat when he pees, think that would be a worse thing.....
Just keep closing the lid and maybe he will get the msg??

Nothing. Why does this annoy people, I haven't a clue. Makes no odds to me if the seat is up or down, and I'm a female and I'm the only person who cleans it in my home. I just don't get the reason why it annoys so many women.

my boyfriend does it all the time and I refuse to touch the toilet seat with my hands, so whenever its up I kinda kick it down with my foot which causes a really loud noise. I do it when hes sleeping or trying to concentrate on something so it annoys him and then I just tell him its his fault because he left it up and he knows how I am with touching the toilet. If he's not going to ever listen and just put it down I get satisfaction in waking him up at 4am.

Tell him that you're willing to compromise. One week you leave the seat up and the next it is left down. If that doesn't work for you or him just tell him he will not be getting any until he starts leaving the seat down. That should do the trick. Also for every week he leaves the seat down you reward him with some.

Marriage, like parenting, is definitely one place where you have to learn to choose your battles wisely. If it REALLY bothers you a lot ... to the point where you seethe with anger at home for hours afterward ... definitely say something. Does he know that you find it annoying? Otherwise, I would just let it go. You probably have a habit or two that he finds annoying as well, so be prepared that if you open this can of worms, it might blow up in your face.

In my house, sometimes I have to put the seat down. Then my partner will come in the bathroom, and he has to put it up. We decided WTFC, and its pretty much a non-issue. Now, lets talk about wet towels left on my side of the bed - thats a fight I'll pick!

How about learning to just put the seat down instead of expecting him to always have it the way you want it. It's not a hard concept. The seat is on hinges. It moves back and forth. Think of how he feels having to lift it up all the time. You don't see him bitching about it do you?

Thank him for pissing IN the toilet rather than the floor AROUND the toilet.
