apperantly I have caused a stir, (as I sually do) with the word "witch". To put everyone at ease. I would prefer a witch to teach me because first of all, I am one, just not one versed in herbal healing. Sencondly, i would only be using my craft on and with other witches. and finally because contrary to popular concensus, yes, there is a magickal property to herbal healing. every plant ha magickal qualities, such as ( one of the few know) cinnamon, it is a fire element and i think pecans are an earth element, so if i know that and am trying to hea an imbalance due to a fire element deficiency, I would not use pecans for it, but i would use cinnamon. I only wish to hear helpful comments, please.
thank you to thse who have provided those healpful comments.

Why would you need a witch for herbal healing? Herbs have been used for healing throughout the history of mankind. It's just that the use of herbs has been discredited by our recent exclusive reliance on allopathic medicine and prescribed chemically produced drugs.
Go to your local library and look in the section you find for herbs in the card catalog. There are some good books published by Roadale, for example.

Herbal healing is NOT magic! It's the chemicals in the plants.

Look for a reputable college and Google herbalism and alternative medicine and herbalists. Meanwhile get down to the nearest library and start reading up on botany chemistry and herbs, all subjects you will need tounderstand if you want to be a good herbalist!

You dont need to be a wiccan or pagan to learn to use herbal medicines!

Look for Oriental Medicinal Schools and see if you can take their Herbalism classes. There is also a Red Moon school in Western N.C. if you are around there. Also the book approach is a good way to start something like that but make sure to get a field guide and a recipes guide too.

To title a herbal healer a witch without thought is what the Christians did before they began murdering them. You might want to ask a Herbalist or a Herbal Healer to teach you the Craft of which they are a master or mistress.

I might even be able to send you information if invited to do so.

why not just take a course at one of the colleges. Please tell me how you know someones a witch, because they say so, would you have surgery on the same basis, because someone said they were a surgeon? Don't wanna be mean, just wondering why you would take some strangers word for it.

I am not a wicca, but I suggest you chat with one online. They are very accommodating. Holistic medicine may help you as well.
