IMHO -
Religions can do whatever they please. But the government should either provide equal protection for all its citizens (extending the marriage contract option to same-sex partners uniformly) or get out of the marriage business altogether.

I truly believe in it if it is a real couple. I have known guys or girls that have been together for the laast twenty years and they should have the right to get married if they wish. They should be able to have children, share benefits etc., etc., I am totally for it. Hommo sexuality has been a part of every single culture... it may or may not have been acknowledged, it may have been taboo or accepted, be that as it may, it was there. You are what you are and are born that way. I am straight, and I could never be gay any more than any gay person could be straight. I think that it is awful that we make people feel badly for what they are. Look what we have done to South Paws in the past. .. made them write with the wrong hand, making them feel as t hough they had some kind of defect. How awful.

I think when two people love each other regardless of their sex; they should be allowed to marry. These people are people with feelings and some more so than straight people, and they should not have to feel shamed for something that is not their fault. It is the way they express their love and it's as simple and yet complicated as that.
I have several gay friends who wish they could marry their partners. Gays have all kinds of problems with their lifestyle when it comes to acceptance. Whether it be religious, community, or even insurance and it's time for a change.
People, if you know of someone who is gay and haven't really communicated with them; you are only cheating yourself. Most gay people are the friendliest, nicest and most fun people you would or could ever meet!

My belief on gay marriage is that it is wrong because it is written in II Peter chapter 1:4 read that we are to seek the Kingdom of God first and having escape the corruptions of the world which is lust.
However, I am sure that gay people defense would be that they are pure to heart and not lying about their sexual preference unlike others, but my opinion to that view is that God judges people hearts and will not hold anything against someone that does not know the truth however, those that do know and do not have the strength to suppress and conquer their sexual desires than that's another story, because God create us in His image as Adam and Eve not Bill and Steve...
And where do we draw the line people marring animals?....

It doesn't bother me one way or the other. If 2 people of the same sex want to marry, then they should be allowed to. Everyone is entitled to be happy, and so whatever relationship works for them, and gay marriage is not harming other people. What 2 consenting adults do in private is their business, and obviously they love each other if they want to marry.

Last I checked gays were people too. I see no reason why marriage should be reserved for heterosexual couples. I'm especially embarrassed about the continued debate because nearly all of the opposition is coming from openly religious arguments. I like my church and state separated, thank you very much! I'm so tired of the drama of the religious right in this country. England, can you please take the Puritans back now? We're tired of them!

I believe that everyone has the right to marry, regardless of sex. If they love each other, there should be nothing wrong with it in the eyes of the law. Because of their sexual orientation, they are being discriminated against and I don't think that it is right. I know what the bible says about it but we have no right to judge anyone.

I am only interested in doing God's Will. How can something that doesn't go together, be together? As with puzzles, you can't make "parts" fit that don't coordinate. It would just be a failure. What shall we then say to these things? If GOD be for us, WHO can be against us? - Romans 8:31. I just try to "please" God. The Lord daily loadeth us with BENEFITS, even the God of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19. Peace, Love and God Bless.

as long as marriage has a spiritual conotation, and yeah it does, i will be against it. however believeing in seperation of church and state I believe the government should not be able to marry people but preform civil unions and instead of giving married people the privilages give it to those that have ben civil unioned. and I see no farm in a gay or lesbian civil union.
I also think gays and lesbians should be allowed to adobt

I am ALL FOR LGBT marriage. I see no reason why anyone should be able to tell anyone else who can or cannot get married. Nobody has that right. I think that the people who are against LGBT marriages are all heterosexual, they don't have to get them. However, they need to allow EVERYONE to get married.
