I found this article on Communists News Network's website.

This isn't even any of my favorite truth revealing sources like the World Net Daily or Newsmax that you liberals don't like to hear because you don't want to hear the truth.

I have also wondered about this. I have heard the libeal argument that alqaida was not in Iraq before we invaded iraq, yet some of the first insurgents we came across during the invasion, were alqaida. Alqiada has continued to be a presence every since the first gulf war...

Our argument, dearie, is that our invasion of Iraq has exacerbated the problem of terrorism in the region. Why was Dubya so eager to invade Iraq that he couldn't finish the job of capturing Osama bin Laden?! Remember him? The guy who engineered the attacks on 9/11 attacks? The guy who is a greater danger to us (or was, if you believe the story that he's dead) than Saddam Hussein was?

We had the world's support when we invaded Afghanistan--they were harboring the slime who engineered the attacks. Fine. Get the guys who did this to us and mete justice. But even Bush Senior knew--and Cheney knew in 1994 and 2000, by the way--that invading Iraq and removing Saddam Hussein would destabilize the country and the region. So we don't deny there is a group called "al Qaeda in Iraq," we do believe that they weren't there until we invaded, and they may not be connected with al Qaeda in the rest of the region.

This is not to say that Saddam Hussein isn't a bad guy; he was a vicious dictator. But then there are quite a few vicious dictators in the world who have no qualms about suppressing the media and killing their own citizens, and we aren't doing anything about them.

It was reported in the NY Times of all places that a group from Al Qaeda was operating in Norther Iraq with the approval of Saddam Hussein before we took him out.

GBA/AL, NOT ALL, NOT ALL Liberals buy into the scatology rhetoric that A/Q was not in Iraq, BEFORE the incursion of our BRAVE TROUPES !!!!
HOWEVER, the constant ranting rhetoric, espoused / uttered / babbled/ blubbered/ UNDRESSMENTS by the majority of the liberal movement AXIS, has persuaded the overwhelming majority of their followers (read sheep) to swallow, hook, line and stink'r, this "Prefabrication of Scatology, spiced with Toro Manuras" !!!

Saddam was actively against Al Queada and as a result they were not in Iraq when the invasion happened. Now they are in Iraq using it as a live fire training exercise in preparation for the next stage of the war.
Ironically Bush attacked one of his most useful allies in the region, a little bit of diplomacy might have resulted and strong force against the terrorists.

You found it in the Communist media - do you think you are being clever by ASSuming we liberals read the communist papers for our ideas? That would then, by implication, you concervs read Mad magazine for your ideas, that or Gay Times. Also, al qaeda was not in iraq until your hero W decided to expand his oil empire and invade it. Finally, as for what you think passes as truth, you also believe there were WMD's in Iraq under Saddam? ANd that we have to continue fighting the 'terrorists' there to keep them from coming here. Tell you what, just go back to your coco krispies and favorite swill, and let the adult in the room do the heavy mental lifting.

LOL, no one's saying that Al-Qaeda isn't in Iraq now.. The argument is that Al-Qaeda wasn't showing up in Iraq until AFTER we invaded.

Thank you though for using a real news source this time, even though you had to sour the moment with that idiotc interpretation of the CNN acronym.

Mind if I try though? WND- Warped News Dispenser.

If you read the article you will see that they are not the same Al Queda that Bin Laden founded. They are an Iraqi group that was established AFTER we invaded Iraq. There were no Al Queda in Iraq before the invasion.

considering there is a group over there that calls itself, "Al Qaeda in Iraq" I don't think anyone is disputing that.

The argument comes with- were Al Qaeda in Iraq before we invaded or did they show up after?

Yeah...too funny. Libs somehow believe that the entire middle east was occupied with Al Qaeda except for Iraq. I guess Iraq had magical walls that kept these lunatics out. "It's magic how it worked"...I overheard one democrat say.
