since it don't matter how many times you get "married&divorced" ...it shouldn't matter how many times you get "married-but-not-divorced".

There are no Federal laws concerning polygamy.
These are State Laws. It is legal to have many wives, so long as, you did not marry more than one in the same State!

No, but it might be a good point for it. While I think that polygamy should not be illegal, it would take our society awhile to adapt to it.
