Who are the "they"? I don't think the Iraqis would follow us anywhere. If you're talking about terrorists, I don't know that it would really matter. Right now, Iraq is a kind of training ground for the terrorists. If they are really committed to striking America, they'll come here anyway. However, I think we need to stay in Iraq until the Iraq government can defend and provide for its people. We've destroyed the relative safety Saddam's dictatorship provided, and I think we owe it to the Iraq people to protect them until their elected government pulls its proverbial head out of its rear and does its job.

This liberal watches CSPAN and has a pretty good idea of how war works...
Do conservatives know that we are spending TRILLIONS of dollars fighting a civil war in some other country that will never benefit a single American?
When you are dying in a bed at home because your insurance refused to pay for a hospital visit or when your kids complain to you that they are not educated enough to get a good paying job.... I hope you will remember that you voted to spend the money on Iraq instead of your own country....

who will follow us home? the civilian non combatants? oh yeah, we're fighting those civilian non combatants over there so that they don't fight us here.
yeah right. the middle east is a large region. if common wisdom holds, it would be no problem for a developing terrorist group to simply move over a few miles into the DMZ. secondly, in case you haven't noticed, we've had more terrorist plots per year each year since the beginning of the war than we had per year each year before the war began. thankfully they were stopped by homeland security, but anyways....is it just me, or does it look like the terrorists have stepped up their efforts?

well considering it's one of the most used phrases out of our president's mouth, anyone who keeps up with the news has heard that, yes.
Wouldn't "others" come to cause chaos in our country while there's this great distraction of our best soldiers being in Iraq though? Why hasn't that happened yet?
Are you saying that if we leave Iraq, our massive security efforts at international airports will suddenly end?
Yes we're going to admit total defeat in Iraq, go home, and hole up in our houses. All work in the country will cease, even our national security forces, and when the big bad Muslims come knocking at our door we'll all roll over and play dead so they hopefully think one of their buddies has already "gotten" us. (That's if we believe your scare tactics, anyway.)
What happened to the tall tale of massive genocide if we pull out? Has that hypothesis been abandoned by now?

They are already coming here, Bush and Cheney are bringing thousands of "refugees" into the country beginning next month. You have to assume that some of them are covert terrorists.

Man that is a side splitter. You honestly are gullible enough to believe that they couldn't possibly leave Iraq and come to America if they so chose to just because we're there?

Liberals want the war to end, yes. But they're flexible when it comes to how ie ensuring we don't burn ourselves on the way out. Radicals on the other hand frankly don't care, they like instability b/c it presents itself to them as an opportunity (in their minds anyway)

The Al Queda in IRAQ that only formed after US occupied IRAQ?

And they havent followed us because were stil fighting them.
