2 lazy to shave or german or just like being hairy

Almost all people have hair in certain places, the purpose being to trap odors and attract a mate. That's why we have armpit hair and pubic hair. Primitive humans were attracted to partners with the strongest smell.
Nowadays, we no longer (consciously) use smell to find partners. However, evolution hasn't gotten rid of our armpit and pubic hair yet...and probably never will. Even though we don't want it anymore, it's not being "selected against" from a biological perspective since so many women shave it all off.

Most French women do not shave their underarm hair. It is a matter of personal preference and culture.

The vast majority of adult women have armpit hair (the exceptions being forms of allopecia), but many do shave.
I'm a guy and I happen to keep mine trimmed to 1/4" because it is easier to manage odors and such that way, but some people either don't have that problem or do and don't care. It has a lot to do with culture.

Those are the ones who don't shave it off. In some places, it is a custom to have underarm hair. Eww!

all women do. in America it is culturally acceptable to shave it off. some say the American obsession with hairlessness is strongly rooted in racism, since the only "type" of person who is virtually hairless (or appears to be hairless because her hair is so light) is a pale, Caucasian blond.

In many cultures around the world the women do not remove their armpit hair. If an American woman decides not to it is usually because she does not feel she has to conform to what society says her body must look like.
