ive never smoked but have been given the chance to make my own mind up so why cant pains in the a***s like that let smokers make their own minds up about if they want a cigarette in the car . if its so wrong for smokers to smoke in most places now then why are they still selling cigarettes here because of the profit they make from the tax and from the fines thats why nothing to do with freedom of choice

As we say in the North "They can f*** right off"
Jesus, is nothing sacred!
I`ve been smoking in my car for more years than Fergie has been a manager and i`m damn sure that it`s the di*k heads on the road who drive like there is no tomorrow that cause accidents. I wont be putting my cig out for anybody. In principle, i would rather have a fine but it won`t happen because how can they prove that it was a cigarette, it is nonsense. Switching over the radio is more distracting!

Love to know who's going to in force it as I still see on a daily basis people driving and using mobiles so I can't see the ban on smoking in your own car being followed by most people.

i've heard the news today.
i do smoke but i don't drive so really i wouldn't know how you're feeling.
i just wish they'll get these drivers who are still using mobile phones while driving and those who eat at the wheel or worse women putting make up on e.g. lipstick.

Just tell the officer that his wife was in the car with you and that she hopped in another car after you crashed. She caused the crash by smoking your organ

My bloke read this before and I was pondering - if you can let go of the steering wheel to change gears, and still be in total control, how come you will be unable to control the car if you let go for a quick puff? According to their logic, they will have to make automatics for ever more.

If they ban smoking - will they stop putting cigarette lighters in cars..... and if they do that, how will I plug my sat nav in. I am proficient in typing in the address, whilst lighting a cig, eating my burger, and changing gears.

Okaaaaayy....let's consider this.....
If you are lighting a stogey while doing 50 miles an hour outside a school at 3.30 in the afternoon....and you plough into a bunch of republicans...does it matter?
Thought this was an American question...for Republicans...read Conservatives...
