Luxor is a very nice hotel, but if this is your first time in Vegas get a hotel closer to the center of the strip.
If you decide to go with Luxor you can find some good deals if you book through "promo codes", free upgrades and a bunch of freebees... here's a list of recent collection of hotel codes you might find useful.

Do you mean as a hotel? It isn't the nicest of places, but I like the Luxor! It's nicer than some of the places on the strip, yet there's still nicer ones. I'd say it's one of those middle-of-the-road places. It's nicer than its neighbor the Excalibur, next door... The casino is cool, but it's hard to judge too much. I do love the breakfast buffet they have there! Yum-o! I love the whole Egyptian theme and the aesthetics of the place and I liked the room for the price!

Yes their is the Luxor is a bit weird on decor and presentation.Try the Bellagio,or MGM or many more.Find a Vegas site and you will see better than the Luxor.

It's alright. Kind of far from middle of the strip. Room need updating. Try staying at New York New York, MGM, or Mirage. There is differently better hotels than Luxor. Research them on Vegas.com, CheapoVegas.com.

Oh wow yeah it is. Stay in the pyramid bit - it has an escalator that goes diagonally. Go to Paroahs feast one night to - an all you can eat type buffet -delicious. There is a little deli/cafe for first thing in the morning cafe, and loads of other places to eat. The rooms are ginormous - we had two king size beds, table, armchairs-loads of room. Our key wouldnt work and they were quick at getting someone to sort it out, we changed to a different room with no probs. Lots of shops. We had a really good stay and we didnt even have time to check out the pool etc.

the Luxor is'nt bad I've stayed there,there are better places but if you've got a good price on a room or something by all means its good.

Four star resort. Stayed there once very nice place.

its located in a great spot so you dont have to walk far to other casinos
