It is liberalism, an insidious disease.

If the way he was treated here is how a rock star is treated I wouldn't want to be a rock star. He was insulted and argued with. A few people politely applauded for him at his visit to Columbia University but other than that he was treated as the head of state that he is. Like him or not he does represent another soverign nation. That nation is a member of the UN and as such he has the right to speak to the General Assembly. He is not the first dictator to do that nor will he be the last. To use or even think of using a nuclear bomb on Iran is absolutely the stupidest thing I have ever heard. We used that against only one country and should never use it again. Why is it that people think those are just like Fourth of July fire crackers? They are not. They have fallout that can travel thousands of miles. They can devistate not only the country where dropped but friendly nations in the region too.
With people around who have your kind of thinking we need God to bless America as it will need all the bleesings He can give.

I'm not certain that a nuclear explosion killing 200,000 in New York would even do the trick. The same left in the persons of Harry Reid, Splash Kennedy and Nancy Pelosi, which has supported this nations enemies while portraying our own soldiers as nazis, would claim that the attack was really our fault--the justifiable action of people subjected to the illegal war of George Bush. Such a tactic on the part of these traitors would not surprise me in the slightest. And we know that they would as usual recieve the full support of the mainstream media in their inexcusable behavior.
I'm really not sure what it would take to awaken an American public to the necessity of removing from power the 15% percent of our population representing the radical left. It's a group which has been able to dictate what we are permitted to say, think, do and believe. A group which has provided aid and comfort to our enemies while purposely working to undermine the efforts and morale of the American military. And all the while knowing that they have subjected our troops to even greater danger by demanding they fight a politically correct war with a sub-human enemy.
What will it take to bring us out of our fat, dumb and lazy "let somebody else look after it" slumber? Maybe it's too late already. It's too bad we don't appear to have another group of men willing to risk their "lives, fortunes and sacred honor" to recreate the liberties we have so carelessly thrown away.

I don't think it is fair to say that he was treated like a rock star. The president of Columbia University described Ahmadinejad in his introduction as a "petty and cruel dictator." Not the characteristics of a rock star. The most intriguing thing was that Ahmadinejad's speech was surprisingly pro-peace. He certainly sounds more peaceful that GW does. We'll see how that plays out in the future. Talk is cheap, but maybe he should be given a chance. I don't want another war.

I am sure your smart enough to know that the man has no power over his country, and you just know that he is listed as a head of state. I am sure other nations don't like Bush, but they are nice enough to let him come over and say what he wants to say. I am sure even Hitler would have been given those rights, if he ever decided to leave Germany on a good will tour :P

FYI, the US didn't care one way or another what Hitler was doing until he declared war against the US on Dec. 11, 1941.
So if he came to the US in the 1930s, he probably would have had a fairly nice reception.

They were trying to promote free speech. It was a plan that went awry.
I whole heartedly agree with free speech as long as it doesn't hurt anyone. What he said falls more under the category of "Insane Ramblings" than anything else.

If he could play the guitar, then I would laugh.
Sorry, I'm neither a pot head nor am I ignorant.
I now have a mental image of Ahmadinejad playing at a concert.
