Dear Slk ,pls dont respond, just ignore it. It's sometimes happened to me as well, straight to my email and not to the Bulk.
They up for something. I dont want to put it here, because it can give an idea to others. Some nasty thing happened to my cousin when she respond.
Pls, and pls, delete it. Maybe somebody of this Y/A.
From your q's ans a's , I know you're a nice person, I am sure not only me feels and think so. That's a strong point in you as well as a weak point.
Somebody would try to use your kindnees.
That's normal.
So, becarefull.
Unless you are a risklover. I am not.
Have a good day. /a good sleep

No ,this is one of the reasons I don't have my E-mail address posted. As much as I would like to communicate with many here, there are so many mean and vindictive people in this world and I know a lot of them show up here. I am not about to set myself up for a cyber attack on me or my family. You did the right thing. I'm sure you must have heard when you were nursing as I did, "When in doubt don't!"

No, it's probably some kind of scam. I get messages from strangers all the time, and usually they want me to go to some website. I mark them as spam. Sometimes I have strangers ask to be added to my friend list before they even talk to me. Why would I add you when I haven't even talked to you? And many times they type in a foreign language. I used to get messages of a sexual nature from strangers, which I really don't get, because my profile says I'm a pastor's wife. Duh. You're just wasting your pathetic time.
I don't trust people who corner absolute strangers about their problems. I only talk to people that I know.

I have opted out of Yahoo Messenger myself. I trusted someone on there and to my despair, I made a mistake.
I would not had added it either. I was not aware you had Yahoo messenger. Don't respond. I am wondering how they found you.
Best wishes, from your friend.

No, you did the right thing. I don't use Y/M, but with my e-mail I get letters like that. If I don't know who they're from, I delete them without opening them. If it's someone who really needs you, they'll find another way to contact you. Maybe the person thought you were someone else, I wouldn't worry about it.

No I would not have added the person, if it is legit, the person will continue to contact you and give you their info until they reach you. You can never be too careful with the Internet.

scam at work, don't be suckered into it. I got a yahoo 360 "letter" yesterday, and it was a scam at work. Ignore it, delete the message, and move on.
