OU/Texas IS football! The best by far. Next would be Alabama/Auburn and then OSU/Michigan.

In OSU VS Michigan, the score was 48-14, and Woody Hayes went for 2. When asked why, he said because he couldn't go for 3. He wouldn't even refer to them by name, he just called them the team up north. At all games, OSU fans sing, We don't give a damn about the whole state of Michigan. Trust me, there is no bigger rivalry than OSU/Michigan. Until the idiots that run the big 12 decided to not play the Nebraska OU game every year, Tex wasn't even thet biggest rivalry game on OU's schedule.

The best is whichever you're involved in.
Some great ones for consideration:
SOUTH - Alabama v Auburn - The Iron Bowl
MIDWEST - Michigan v Ohio State - The Game - Some have proposed that the football rivalry is a modern manifestation of the historical tension of the Toledo War.
SOUTHWEST - Oklahoma v Texas - Red River Rivalry
SOUTHEAST - Florida v Georgia - The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party
PACIFIC - UCLA v USC - Crosstown Rivalry
MOUNTAIN - BYU v Utah - The Utah/BYU rivalry holds a number of unique characteristics that add to its overall greatness. While most sports rivalries share some of these characteristics, no other rivalry in America incorporates all of them.
NORTHEAST - Harvard v Yale - The Game
OTHER - Army v Navy

As a Michigan fan, I can tell you that I see Mich. St. as much more of a rivalry. Ohio St. is always a big game & important. But when I think rivalry, I think 2 teams that hate each other. And frankly, I don't hate OSU. I hate losing to them, but if I have to choose who I hate losing to more, it's the Spartans. There's no shame in losing to Buckeyes. So with that in mind, my favorite college football rivalries.
The Egg Bowl: Ole Miss - Miss. St.
The Red River Shootout: Texas - OU
The Iron Bowl: Auburn - Alabama
Sunflower Showdown: Kansas - K State
The Apple Cup: Washington - Wash. St
Battle of the Palmetto State: Clemson - South Carolina
Lone Star Showdown: Texas - Texas A&M
And my pick for best college footbal rivalry..
The Big Game: Cal - Stanford. These guys really hate each other.

The best College rivalry is really in the hearts of the fans. Different parts of the country favor different rivalries. Texas vs Oklahoma is certainly a big one but Oklahoma vs Nebraska is huge as well. Florida/Florida St. completely shut the state down when they play. Alabama/Auburn is considered a major rivalry. USC/UCLA is big. USC/Notre Dame has always been huge. Of course Army/Navy is traditional even if most of the time the game has no meaning in terms of national ranking. But the biggest of them all is Ohio St/Michigan. There is no bigger rivalry in college football.

I think OU/TEXAS (BOOMER SOONER). I dont really think alabama vs lsu is that great if i would pick an sec then it would be florida vs lsu. Mich/OSU is good but every year they aren't ranked as good as ou texas. but maybe another one out of the open
USC NOTREDAME this one was good when notre dame had brady quinn but it looks like its not going well for nd
another - georgia vs auburn
there will be others in your opinion but i think ou/texas is best plus lee, kirk, and i forgot the other guys name always comes to it

those are definitely good ones, as well as some posters have given. OU v. Texas and Ohio v. Mich are great. However, two don't fit: USC-LSU, USC-CAL.
USC-LSU. Les Miles is a ***** for trying to call out the Trojans with a 'weak' schedule, whereas they never schedule any top teams outside their conference (except for VT). Middle Tenn? Louisiana Tech? Next few seasons: N. Texas, Troy, App St. (until Michigan, no one would've cared).
We've played Arkansas, Nebraska. Next few seasons: Ohio State 2x, Virginia 2x, Hawaii, San Jose st 2x. Oh, and we play Notre Dame every year for like, forever. LSU? Tulane.
Instead add CAL-Stanford. They're in the top 2 plays of all time, after all. USC-ND is really huge, too.
