Where is the best city in the world.

You're not going to like this but.............
Liverpool of course,
Described as the pool of life,
someone (sorry i could not confirm the source.) once said if you are tired of liverpool you are tired of life.
It did of course produce the Beatles, four lads who shook the world, and at least one amazing football team, oh alright then 2, liverpool as well, (only joking)
Apart from london, English cities generally don't have songs written about them but there are loads of songwriters who have been inspired by Liverpool. Ferry across the mersey, heart as big as liverpool, in my liverpool home, mist over the mersey, Liverpool lou, the leaving of liverpool, and I don't even need to search out any others, but I'm sure I've missed some. oh yes penny lane and strawberry fields forever are both about Liverpool.
The view from the mersey ferries, with the Liver buildings, and the mersey docks and harbour board buildings, is amongst the greatest views in the world.
The list of bands, comedians and other entertainers, who were born in liverpool is endless, which only tells you that there is something about the city which produces these types of entertainers.
ok, well i'm sure you and others would not agree with this, but hey at least I can cite all these reasons, let's see others who make suggestions back up their nominations.

You don't get out much if you think Manchester is the best city in the world.
Remind me again how many shootings of teenagers there has been in the last week.
It is a grey depressing,dirty ,violent city. The architecture is an appalling mish-mash of styles.
I couldn't wait to leave and only go back under sufferance.

you're right mikecollins2, us mancs aren't going to like your answer but at least you love your city, i'm from manchester too and there's no other city like it but i do love aberdeen.

Stop moaning you have the best Airport in the UK by far.The people are so friendly and the Hot Pot is great.
