I don't think so. America is a land of freedom, and people are free to be as crazy as they want to be. Also, people are free to not pay attention in school. I think it's wrong to assume that since a few people lack critical thinking skills, then the entire American school system is flawed. Some people are just idiots, and no amount of education can ever change that.

i do no longer actual know that it could count. maximum of adults have no extreme questioning skill what so ever. Then there is the concern of what interior the worldwide a text fabric e book could look like. replaced into George Washington rather the father of our u . s .? i think of that sticking to the person-friendly mythology of our u . s . is excellent. It provides human beings a feeling of belonging. Do you particularly think of that commonest instructors have the skill to think of heavily? heavily, they do no longer look to be the brightest human beings interior the worldwide. they are usually SJ character varieties that have reliable fee systems or NFs that merely prefer to care and be cared for. they might instruct English, math, technology, or background yet they infrequently have a love of the fabric they instruct or any form of prefer for accuracy. they only order the books, supply out the help and artwork their 8 to 4 interest. I think of extreme questioning is excellent left to the mum and dad.

It definately demonstrates a lack of critical thinking, but, where to place the blame? Parents, more than the schools, I'd say.

Not proof, no, but thier existance certainly wouldn't tend to contdradict the assertion.
It could also just be indicative of individually willfully declining to aply such skills, even if they were taught them at some point.

Americans do tend to believe the lamest theories about the WTC collapse.
Least supported theory I have seen is that was explosive demolition.

Which 9/11 nuts? The ones who think Bush did it, or the ones that think Saddam did it.
Either way: yes. Lack of critical thinking skills, easy pray to propaganda.

Thank you professor, I feel much more enlightened by your great wisdom already.
No one has brought up 9/11 for awhile until you just did. Perhaps you have a fixation with it and are a closet conspiracy theorist. Certainly if not a conspiracy theorist about 9/11 you must be about something or you would not be so concerned and obcessed by it.

Not proof but evidence, there is a difference.
most colleges now teach students what to think not how to think.
