Best Friend Problem Please Help!?

In my house we don't have a home phone all we have is my mom's cell phone because we share our house with other people. My best friend keeps calling me and then my mom gets mad because we keep running out of minutes because she talks a lot with me on the phone. I want to ask her if she can please call me a little less but I don't want to be rude. What can I do?

I have exactly the same problem. Talk seriously (in person, not on the phone!) to your friend and explain the circumstances. If she is your true friend, she won't want your mom angry at you. Set a time when you can talk free, for instance weekends or nights, or pay for the minutes you use by getting a part-time job, babysitting, or doing chores. Good luck!

Be honest with her.Tell her it's not your phone,and let her know what's going on.Also does your mom's network offer free calling after 9pm-6am the next morning ,and does it offer free weekends?Mine does.Also if she used a cell phone from the same company,most of them offer free calling if you're in the same network.Verizon Wireless does all of this.If she still can't compromise or get a clue,your mom can block her number,so it doesn't use up her minutes.

let your friend know that you are using your mom's phone and your time to talk is limited...let her know how many minutes you can talk -- it's not rude, it's the truth and your mother's rules.

if your friend doesn't understand that or gets mad, then she's not much of a friend, after all.

if you both have internet, i m each other instead of using the phone. that will make your mom happy and you and your friend can keep talking....
