How do you feel about it?

Spying in America is way out of hand. They want to know everything about every citizen and store it in a database in another country so they can control us.

This is why Real ID is out there. It does nothing for the people but gives the government the ability to control you - they will know where you are by the chip embedded in the Real ID card which you are required to carry with you. Next they will implant you with VeriChip so you can't escape from satellite surveillance.

Since history repeats itself, is the Holocaust about to repeat? Who will be the new dictator? There are holding cells connected to the railways lined up all across America - for what?

All in all, I'd much rather have someone take down the fact that I enjoy non-fiction, than one day have a bureaucrat from another government agency sifting through the rubble for one or two of my teeth. How many of your friends have been detained and arrested, having been falsely charged with being a terrorist? None of mine. And damn few who have made the news. Hell, I remember when you could actually smoke on an airplane. Anywhere you happened to be sitting. And I remember the days when the government could not confiscate your home or business with the intention of selling it to someone who would provide greater tax revenue to Big Brother. These are quite real and a hell of a lot more frightening than someone storing useless information which will never be acted upon. I suggest we should be far more concerned with the 5 far-left Supreme Court justices who have placed what used to be our right to own private property in the hands of the State. Sure, it is over-reaching by the same power hungry government. But lets fight those who we know beyond doubt to be the enemies of our rights and liberties before we begin marking out new foes.

Eh, I dont really care to much about that, its kind of interesting...I wonder what would happen if you brought a book on like highjacking planes for dummies...They should use the info to let ppl know what good reading material for plane travel is best lol...I felt kind of weird when I noticed they searched my checked luggage last trip I took but it was funny that they didnt find my weed in my makeup case har har, seriously though they didnt and dont they have x-ray machines? I didnt have anything electronic, it was just clothes and shoes and my "makeup case".

BFD. The government cannot do anything efficiently. Yeah, the Patriot Act and other laws do intrude upon our liberty. But only an idiot would think the government could do a good job of spying on the average citizen.

It does concern me that the government allows these kinds of things...but it does not concern me that it will actually affect my life.

Since they will not give it a second thought as to what I am reading - or typing on my computer - it does not bother me in the slightest.

The guy with bookmarked pages in his copy of "Jihad Terrorism for Dummies"? Let HIM worry . . .

This article exaggerates the extent as to who they are looking at, preying upon everyone's inherent paranoia.

That is the same as saying a Police officer cannot look at you on the sidewalk otherwise he is "Profiling" you.

Marketing analysts compile more invasive information on private Citizens and peddle it to anyone who will buy. I am more angry at that than another tool being employed to find the enemy.

**** 'em. I read books they wouldn't even know the significance of. Often when I travel, because I know it will piss them off, but they can't really do anything about it, I carry a tattered copy of the Communist Manifesto.

I've never really read the thing... too wordy and downright wrong... but I figure if it causes a bureaucrat some kind of conniption, I've done my duty as a free man.

I know your being watched on ever answer you give, as getting reported "Read your question". You get afraid to answer you say put a word OH, and your need to read your question or your being reported.

Not surprised.

Thanks to Bush's New World Order by the Patriot Act and Military Commissions Act, the govt. can pretty much do as it pleases for now on.

Sad to see so-called small government Republicans roll over for big nanny govt. legislation like that.

I'll have to leave my copy of "RentaCops are Pathetic Losers" at home next time.

This is infuriating and nauseating. Looks like Poindexter succeeded after all.
