if we didnt have to make huge payments to the war in iraq (which had nothing to do with 911) and continual occupation america could have used that close to a trillion dollars to fund pools in every american household.

The program details, not quite available yet, will propose raising taxes by 25% on all income to fund the program. At $20 Billion per year (4 million births/year x $5,000) in no time at all this program will become one of the largest government entitlement programs ever. This of course will require bigger, more intrusive government to administer this program, adding $10,000 per kids just to collect all the money. When they finally do go to college they will have to pay a fee to fill out the form and wait 5 years for the distribution only to be told that sorry, the government used the money for other things.

I am more disturbed about how NY mayor Mike Bloomberg wants to pay low income parents to take theri kids to the doctor, keep their kids in school, etc.
You know, the stuff you supposed to be doing anyway........
Meanwhile, the NYPD is the lowest paid police department in the country. Yes, the same NYPD who protects the terrorists No. 1 target, New York City....

This is more pandering. It will sell among those of the American public who don't know or care that this person is the most two-faced politician to come around in recent memory.

Only the very stupid will ever fall for her plans. Unfortunately, there are more stupid people in this country than smart ones. At least in my experience.

You're right, it's ridiculous. Won't this encourage a population explosion? Corruption and greed, bred right before our very eyes. No one in their right minds will buy into this garbage.

Trust me, she has plenty of ideas on how to fund these things and it's probably better that you don't know what those are now. Hopefully she won't get elected so none of us has to worry about it.
