I'm sure that you are aware that Penn is an extremely selective university and that it is hard to get into any program there. That being said, it is much harder to get into Wharton than into the College (as they refer to the Arts and Sciences school) or the engineering program. There are very few programs that are as selective as Penn's Wharton School.

It is not impossible to transfer into Wharton -- but it is not an easy thing to do. You should not expect to be able to transfer from the college to Wharton. That being said, the Economics Department is part of the College -- so you could get an economics degree and take some electives at Wharton.

These are two separate schools with 2 very different entrance exams and admissions committees.

If you get into Arts and Sciences School you are NOT Able to switch to Wharton and vice versa.

First off AS needs a GRE and Wharton needs a GMAT and work experience. Wharton is a very VERY hard school to get into regardless if they are both part of UPENN.

Why not work for a year or so and decide when you are ready to. There is no rush to post graduate studies!!
