Water, water everywhere!!!
Oil is bad for several reasons, but the big ones are that if you're using condoms, it can break down the condom material and you would risk pregnancy and/or STDs. Also, oil inside the vagina is ALWAYS a bad idea because it can cause infections.

As a personal opinion, i prefer the water based. They feel a heck of a lot more natural and aren't as hard to ummm clean up. The oil based you can really tell that there is lubricant and it just feels nasty in my opinion. Plus, the oil based can break down condoms and it is not good for the health of your vagina. it messes with the PH levels more so than the water based, and yeast infections/bacterial vaginosis are not fun in my opinion as well.

either one will work fine, however if you are planning on using a condom, then use water based because oil based will make the condom weaker and it is much more likely to break. if your not planning on using a condom, then you should go with the oil based ones because there is more variety for your liking.
