hey i gotta write a paper on the play mary poppins. i need to discuss the plot, the staging, the costuming, and the actor's performance. has anyone ever seen it and could you give me some ideas on what to write?

I saw the play Mary Poppins in the West End a couple of months ago...First of all, the staging was amazing. This play was based on a mixture of the Disney movie and the book so just think back to all of the special effects they had there and how they transfered it to the stage. Mary still pulled everything out of her carpet bag and created beds out of thin air...It was very well done. On costuming you could focus on the different colors used to dress the differing characters...Mary in more vibrant colors and Mr. Banks in more subtle, harsh colors. You could also talk about the statues in the park scene and the technique used for that. The actor's performance is your own opinion. In my instance, I was quite irked with my Mary's performance and Bert took took the main stage. Good luck with this.
