I just came back from a Justice Court. I went up to the window and, before I could even open my mouth to speak, I was told to wiat, that there were people in front of me and they were short handed... Understandable. So, I waited. Name after name was called, I understand they were here before me and had some sort of prior arrangement, no problem. A gentleman came after me with no apparent appointment. He went up to the window and another clerk asked to help him. The clerk that told me to wait said nothing of it. I still waited. Three more men came after me and they too were helped. Another lady opened the door and pointed at the second in line and asked, "Have you been helped?", after which she attended him. She then did the same to the third man. Another lady came in and the same clerk that kept opening the door now helped the new lady at the window. Still the clerk that asked me to wait said nothing. By this time, that same clerk who said nothing looked at the lobby that was not empty

... empty, other than just me, and went to sit down. The clerk that was helping the lady finish and then sat down again. She quickly bolted up out of her shair again and NOW asked me what I was doing. I went up to the window and I told her everything. She just smiled and said nothing more than, "Oh, I'm sorry!" I know that to many this is nothing, but, I HATE injustice which just means NOT FAIR! This is a COURT office. It is GOVERNMENT! How am I supposed to feel like I'm being treated fairly when the same people that are supposed to represent our government don't seem to care!?

Masta Blasta:

I am going to write to them, but, its not about getting my way. This has nothing to do with the reason I was there at the court in the first place. Its about not having been treated fairly like any other person that goes to them. Am I not considered to be a person by them? Is that why they didn't care to be fair even when they noticed what was going on? Even animals get better treatment! Is my worth less than that of an animal?

Holy Defender:

How could I have been rude to them? I had no chance to even speak? As for raises, I get it, still no reason to treat me like less than human for something I don't control! As for government workers, I was one for three and a half years! I know what they can do. Still, I am a person and should be treated as such!

Normally I would agree with you, but, this is a small court in a small city. When I went to pick up the paperwork, there was no one there. When the trouble happened there were only six or seven people who were called by name, four clerks working and four or five walk-ins including me. Good Idea though on suggesting a numbering system.

Do what every one else in America does when they don't get their way....call or send a nasty gram to their supervisor.

I understand your frustration, but I think it would have been resolved if you had just spoken up sooner when it was obvious they had time for you.

It was wrong for them to forget you, but they deal with 100's of people a day and they cannot be expected to remember everyone or who's turn is next. You should call the office and talk to a supervisor, recommend that they come up with a better system for handling the order people are being served.

One thing that would help is raises,

2 did this person know you did you have a history with them,

were you rude to them?

Goverment employees can save or ruin your life.

That is why it is important to put the correct type of people in Gov. the kind that will serve you, but alas many are abused.

You just learned something that is true. They do not care about you nor any one else.

You didn't see government in action, you saw bureaucracy in action.
