I was wondering if this is a good computer for decent games such as counterstike 1.6 or source and diablo etc., also for downloading movies and just basic internet surfing. It's not a dual core processor but it says hyperthreading and i've heard that, it is ok. What are your opinions on it? thanks for your feedback

Not bad. A few years back, that would have been an expensive computer.

You might want to clean out the hard drive, and defragment.
If you're planning on owning this for several years, make sure there's room to add more memory... it sounds like there would be.

If the software and windows matter to you:
Ask about disks and license keys for the software (the games, the office, ect).
Just remember that unless they have the disks in the original boxes, sealed, the Office and the Windows won't be legally yours, even if it was a genuine copy when they bought it.

Yes, this setup will play those games and do the other things just fine.
