We ask that the government undertake the obligation above all of providing citizens with adequate opportunities for employment and earning a living.
The activities of the individual must not be allowed to clash with the interests of the community, but must take place within its confines and for the good of all. Therefore, we demand:...an end to the power of the financial interests.
We demand profit sharing in big business.
We demand a broad extension of care for the aged.
We demand...the greatest possible consideration of small business in the purchases of the national, state and municipal governments.
In order to make possible to every capable and industrious [citizen] the attainment of higher education and thus the achievement of a post of leadership, the government must provide an all-around enlargement of our entire system of public education...We demand the education at government expense of gifted children of poor parents...
The government must undertake the improvement of public health -- by the greatest possible support for all clubs concerned with the physical education of youth.
[We] combat the...materialistic spirit withn and without us, and are convinced that a permanent recovery of our people can only proceed from within on the foundation of The Common Good Before the Individual Good .

Hey, the official name of the Nazis was National Socialists, wasn't it? And that's pretty much what the Democratic party is about.

you may study the sources under formerly you leap to conclusions. What you have right it is the beginnings of communism. you're additionally leaving out that the Nazi party replaced into, from the beginning up, antisemitic and anti-press. Why did no longer you place up that area? Are you declaring that the Democrats are antisemitic? Gee, and as for companies demanding "the excellent available attention of small enterprise interior the purchases of the national, state and municipal governments", that's what Dubya has given them! Will you ask us next if Neil Armstrong rather walked on the moon in 1969?

I see the liberal lemmings are out in force tonight. Liberals think they can pick out a spelling or grammar mistake and concentrate on that. Then they don't have to answer the question. Well the real reason liberals don't answer the questions asked is that they have no real answers. Just slogans and emotional outbursts. They can not compete when facts are used. This has been the liberal game plan from the beginning.
To answer your question, even though the liberal lemmings wouldn't, The Nazi party has many similarities to the modern Democrat party. From wanting to take the guns (Hitler did it Hillery wants to) to socialized health care. Democrats need to be stopped before the USA is the fourth Reich under Adolph Hillery!

Glad You asked. and Thanks for the Thumbs Down I know I will get! Just Like the Nazis, Last night By Voice Vote, they threw out the 1st Amendment by making it a Crime for Churches, Synagogues and Mosques to teach doctrine. The Bill took the form of Hate Crimes Legislation HR Bill 2015, ENDA, HR Bill 984 and they are as Proud as Punch for what they have done claiming to love Children, when pedophiles will be given a Free Pass and call it Consensual between adults and Minors. They even attached it To the Defense Bill, disguising it as a Civil Rights Bill! How's that for Common Good?

I don't think they're taking their ideas from the Nazi party (at least I would hope not) but some of their ideas come close to the ideas of the Nazis. Someone should take them a book on history and let them read what happened to the Nazis when the same thing was tried.

If you take the Nazi's, remove their bloodlust and get rid of the concentration camps, what you are left with is socialism + class warfare.
And that's about as good a description of the Democrat Party I can come up with.

The people lining the streets cheering as he drove by ?

"For the common good" is a great way to get people to give up their free will, their money, and ultimately their lives for the people in power.
I guess people still don't realize that "society" is nothing more than a group of individuals and the "common good" is whatever brings most liberty to those individuals.

Platforms are always crafted to /sound/ good. The same sorts of empty promises that fooled people 80 years ago still work today.
