It depends on the type of CD-ROM drive. If it is a normal IDE drive (most are), it uses a Molex connector. Here is a picture of a Molex connector from a power supply:

The power connection comes from the powersupply where u put your kettle wire(the black wire which goes right at the top)
It jins from that to your cd rom.
