Hi
I think Alec is really cute.. It's a nice version of Alexander. It's a bit funky and updated.

But I have to give a thumbs down on Jersey for a girl. It makes me think of the New Jersey Turnpike.. which is not a lovely stretch of road. Also, Jersey is a type of cow. It doesnt have a nice association.

Good luck!

I would name my son Alec but Jersey seems like a boy name. Even though it's unique it's possible she might get teased at school. So i would think of a better name for a girl.

Alec- I definitely would for a boy. Jersey for a girl - NEVER! It's just a matter of time before a girl named Jersey is teased and called a Jersey Cow by her peers at school!! Moooo!!! Why set your kid up for teasing? Find another girl's name.

Alec, no. I would go for Alex before I would go for Alec.

Jersey, no. And Jersey Bella? The first name is a far cry from feminine, yet the middle name is extremely feminine and actually means "beautiful". The first and middle names are too contrasting for my taste.

I wouldn't personally use Alec, but then I don't care for Alexander either. LOL Just not my personal preference. I do, however, know a little Alec and it totally suits him. Not an odd choice or anything like that (far from it, with the popularity of Alexander, Alex, Alexis, Alexa, Alexandria and the poorly-thought-out Alexia -- it's a brain disorder LOL).

I would NEVER, however, consider Jersey remotely normal. A dirty, crime-ridden state (sorry NJ!) and a type of bovine? ROFL Not into that.

I kind of like Alec for a boy.

I don't really care for the name Jersey that much.

No.

I'd name my son Alexander and call him Alec, though. I think it's a great nickname.

But Jersey is horrible. Have you been here? May as well call the kid Sh*thole.
