i'm not sure what the story is but its something about lewis from gp2. but mika was supposed to make a come back !!!! its too bad mclaren picked lewis over mika !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would be great to see mika back - as it would convince schui back - they have some unfinished business :-)
With all the talk of respect and rivalry in F1 - you can not go past those 2 gentlemen in their relationship as rivals. They are rivals but have respect for each other. Schui has said that mika was the one driver he respected the most.

I heard some rumour about it.
Mika was seen at woking and then at a test session pre season. He did not test the car though.
Ron Dennis, said that rumours of Mika's return to F1 where untrue. Apparently he was doing some PR for Mercedes.

I do know that he was serious about making a come back in 2005 with Williams, but Frank signed Button...(remember the Buttongate?) But then he changed his mind and stayed at BAR Honda.
Mika raced in DTM, but was never a front runner.
He tested for McLaren earlier this year, but his lap times were well off the pace. I think he himself knew that he was past it, really. Great men always know their limitations.... I don't think anybody (inlcuding Ron) was serious about Mika making a come back.

With all due respects to Hamilton, if Mika wanted a comeback McLaren would have gone for him rather than the untested rookie. That would have meant two two-time world champions racing for McLaren, something quite unheard of.
These rumours are part of the F1 seasons.

these were all rumors that started when he did some tests on the new mclaren at jerez or something before this season started, but whos to say if mclaren boots alonso it may happen, i know if i were them id take mika over button

No chance!
I think he knew that he was past his time in F1! He was offered tests by BMW, and another team- but he turned them down.
It's nice to see that he's taking an active interest in F1 by appearing in the Mercedes advert!
