Everything starts out great then the bottom drops out at the worst time. Nothing earth shaking, mind you, but can cause a problem(s).
Today mine was: All going great then let dog out for a few minutes. Then let dog in, smelled something horrid, couldn't find the cause anywhere, that is until my dog came to give me a kiss. What ever she had gotten into in such a short time took 2 hrs. to get ride of. Not a SKUNK smell either. Bath and several teeth brushing later she is almost back to normal.

Dragon...my Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever (bred to look like a fox) used to LOVE eating and rolling in any long dead thing she came across.

It got especially bad during fishing season. My family's habit was to fillet the fish and then to throw the leftover carcasses into the (very wild) bush behind our home for the raccoons and foxes there. Until we realized that my dog was finding these and hiding them to "season". When they were suitably stinky she would drag them back out and have a marvelous feast of them! To prevent this, I started burying the carcasses 2 feet down in the vegetable garden. (Hmmm....maybe I should think of that for my new garden?)

Yes, I have those days all the time. Things will be going along fine, then something throws a curve in. My husband had a little bump when he had to make a quick trip (supposed to be) to the auto parts store and the clerk was really slow. I didn't realize how long he was gone, until I saw I had talked to a friend on the phone, made cow patties (no bake oaties), changed the bed and put laundry in the washer in the mean time. lol Hope your pup is smelling good again.

Sometimes its those little bumps that frustrate you more than the big things, like misplacing my keys, ir not being able to find a sweater that I wanted to wear,or spilling a glass of water all over the newly wahed floor,or my favorite this week, opening the fridge and have the eggs fall out and break over my clean ceramic tile floor. I hate picking up egg yolks and egg whites, the slimy things. So I did the next best thing besides screaming, I sat in the middle of the floor and cried.

Frequently. I decide to bake something and don't have all the ingredients I need. Okay, get ready and go to the store. Now I see I need gas. I go to the gas station and now I am hungry. I go to Subway and realize its lunch hour at the high school across the street. Now I am in line behind twenty or so students, but I am really hungry now so I wait. When I get home I don't feel like baking anymore. Oh well.

Thar's a slight annoyance in contrast to the days I have sometimes.

But there is always tomorrow, spray the dog with perfume! That if she still smells.

Or put her in a bath with a few drop of Tea Tree oil. Also gets rid of ticks and fleas. Dog get into all sorts of well: "you don't want to know , what"

I swear it's the full moon!!!! Happens every time. I broke up with my boyfriend Tuesday. I'm attributing that to the full moon too. That and the fact he was cheating on me. Oh well, things will settle down when the residual effects of the moon wear off.

My god, we have the same dog! I bathed the damned thing, combed it out, let it loose in the back yard... and she took a dump, went running wild, hit the stuff, and slid into my swimming pool! So much for that bath, comb out, and ....oh hell, I just went out and had breadfast and went to work! She can stink all she wants, and I decided that she could dry off in the sun...I just love dogs, Don't you :-)
