Mother and daughter are fighting over pads or tampons. Mother says if a girl is still a virgin she would not be able to use a tampon. I am not really for sure whose side I am suppose to take. Please answer seriously. I need to know to try to stop the fighting between the 2 of them. If you are a virgin do you ever use a tampon over a pad?

It doesnt matter, you can be a virgin and use a tampon I will admit is a little more uncomfortable and take getting used to but what do you think teenage gymnists and ice skater use? Anyways, they have tampons an its brand called O.B. they are designed for teens so they may be fitted and used properly. If they rather use a pad try always thin it's great protection but doesnt have the bulkiness as a regular pad.

I started using tampons when I was a virgin, and haven't used pads since. There is no reason why a virgin can't use tampons. Virginity does not prevent tampons from being insert correctly into the vagina, and a girl does not lose her virginity if she uses tampons.

lol you can use tampons if you are a virgin i think the mom is trying to get a confeesion out of the daughter about having sex which is ridiculous you need to look it up on the internet or even print out these answers and show them let the mother know she is being goofy and you know what shes trying to do..that is kinda messed up to give wrong information to get something like that outta the daughter..im married now but when i was a virgin i always used tampons hated the idea of sittin in "it"

i definitely prefer tampons over pads for MANY reasons. And i'm also definitely a virgin. The mother may just be trying to explain how its difficult to get the hang of at first, or making up excuses cuz she doesn't want daughter to use them.. but honestly it has nothing to do with virginity.

OMG, you guys don't know anything do you!? I'm a girl, still a virgin and wear tampons. Side with daughter. Tell mom that tampons more comfortable. You don't feel them at all. Pads feel like dipers.

I'm 16 a virgin and Kotex is my best friend. Granted, I'd likely die if I tried to use a super, but I use lites and regulars all the time. Pads, in my opinion, are uncomfortable and lead to Yeast Infections. Tampons all the way.

i use both depending. like a pad to sleep b/c its more comfortable and tampons during the day and especially for sports. and i'm still a virgin. using a tampon doesn't change anything about your virginity. its merely preference

Tampons have nothing to with being a virgin or not. I go to a Catholic school and never in health or religion have they said that females aren't allowed to use them. Virginity only has to do with sex. and tampons don't have anything to do with it. =]
