Call the financial aid department of a college or university around where you live. They can give you ideas of what's out there and where to look online, and who you can call. I also think looking around and through the Department of Educations website would be a good place to start. It is www.ed.gov, I think. You can also go to your states website and look around on it for information on grants and scholarships, and loans. I do not recommend going to loan places like Fanny Mae or ones like them. I have heard a whole lot of negative things about such places. If you decide to get a student loan go through a reputable bank like Chase, Fifty-third, or any bank as long as it has a good reputation. Stay away from lending organizations like Fanny Mae. Go look for Federal Application for Student Aid, through the Federal Government, and then look through your state governments websites. Your state government should have a Department of Education, that would be a good place to look and or call with questions. You should be able to call your state government with any questions you have, and they should be able to direct you to where you need to go and what all you need to do. The kinda sad thing is the less money your family makes each year the better the chances are of getting assistance with college. You will need a good GPA of about a 3.0 or so for some of the programs. It is a lot of work but is will pay off if you can find a few scholarships and grants to help you pay for college. You can also go talk to your high school guidance councilor. They should be able to tell you where to go and where to look. Best of Luck if I can do anything to help please lat me know. =)

Well I'm not sure where your located so it's kind of hard to help. If your in Florida you could go for Bright Futures in your senior year of high school. If your in 8th grade then they might have Take Stock in Children (depending on where your located).
