I would like something with my college mascot. I've been unable to find things like this because I went to a small college, and I know the big schools have their own figurines. Just any ideas.

To do it from scratch, you'd have to carve one from wood or soap, then cover it with something to make a mold. Then you pour your resin or plaster into the mold. You have to make sure that mold can hold that material without melting or whatever. Here is a site where they show you how to do 2 different kinds of mold

Do you want to make a mixture from resin and wood (sawdust) and use that as a kind of clay?
After modeling and drying you can work on it as if it is wood, that is carving and using files and so on.

When you happy with the results you can paint it and paint the logo on.

Your local craft store or do it yourself store/hardware store can help you.
In the hardware store ask for wood filler you can shape and tidy when dry, as that is what is mostly used for.

You can also use polymer clay, like fimo, in the right colours, and paint the logo on after baking in a kitchen oven.
You can keep shaping till you are happy with it, because once baked you can not shape it anymore.
Here is a site with help making figures out of polymer clay, may also help you if you use a different kind of clay:

Just tell her they were "confiscated" by the Vice Squad when you were implicated in the doping scandal that rocked the internet chat community back in 2010. It seems that a group of stay at home moms were apparently "juicing" their Chase&Sanborn in order to gain an edge over their "forced to work outside the home" competitors. Nothing was ever proven ,of course, which is why mommy never had to do any time in the joint - but the items taken by the "coppers" were never returned. This way you'll have an out in case they ever show back up at a collectors convention.
