everytime i use my laptop for the last 3 months(i've had it for a year) it gets extremely hot, it actually got so hot the heat from under it burned a blister on my leg when the laptop wasn't even resting down on my leg, it was on top of a cooling rack so nothing was blocking the vents...it's only on the right side where the fan is.....i heard there was cooling can of air that u can spray in it? can anyone give me a link to where i can get that

also, it gets this hot even when the battery is not in it

Hi. Sounds like a dusty CPU vent. Clean it out and make sure that any fans are working. The cooling air is not a solution to your problem as it only cools while being sprayed.

I have not heard of a can of air you can spray in it. In fact, I would not suggest spraying anyting IN TO your laptop. This can cause dust to damage electical parts. Dust can act as an insulator and can trap heat. I would suggest taking the computer to a local computer shop that specializes in notebook repair, they would be able to open your notebook and spray dust OUT of the computer. Modern notebooks can generate a lot of heat, especially if you are doing something that makes the processor, hard drive, video card or memory work hard. This is the reason that the computer industry changed the name of these computers from Laptop to Notebook.
