May I reiterate .... the only thing you have going for you is your large brain capacity. You can only brandish a weapon because someone thought the concept into existance ... you can only reshape the world because of the elevated brain waves of the engineers.
One on one with an angry pit bull and the average human (no weapons) would come off very badly.
Take away everything that has been created by the power of the mind ... clothing .... weaponary ... technology (even fire) ... medicine and dwellings and you'd find that humans would be dropping like flies.

The human form is the only one i can relate to living in, but i fully understand your question.
Imagine the power and strength ratio of something like a bull terrier if it were human sized.
the creature would be awesome to contend with.

I have misgivings. I see the terrible cruelty and appalling stupidity going on, and am incredulous that I am a member of the same species. Clearly, human nature is seriously flawed.
You say the human race is physically quite a weak species, but we have hands able to grasp weapons, and with a club in my grasp, I can beat the crap out of any bit bull.
Another thing we have going for us is that with our smooth skin and articulated physique, we are sexy.
On balance, I am happy being human.

Physically weak? We are reshaping an entire planet. I wouldn't say that is weak.
I enjoy being human. I enjoy my life and I am grateful for my life. There are so many worse things to be.
