Ya, it first started with Naruto. It was always on and I never bothered to watch it,in fact I almost hated it at the time. In August of this year when they had the Naruto marathon from episodes 1-100 i started watching because nothing else was on. Once I saw the some of the episodes and I was getting into it I was hooked,I was so into it I watched the whole marathon from start to finish for the three days it was. After that I loved Naruto ever since and I think its the best show ever made,and after that I started getting into more anime/manga too. It all I read and watch now. I love the action and plot's in it and on the side relationships especially between Naruto and Hinata. Naruto Rocks!!!!!

The first anime I ever saw (although I and everyone I knew would have called it a cartoon at the time) was Astroboy, around 1964, probably in the fall.
The first manga I read was 'Barefoot Jin', when I happened to come across a copy in a university library. That was the first volume of any Japanese comics that I had ever seen translated (I had seen a book or two of manga while I was in Japan, but I wasn't able to read them). Barfoot Jin tells the story of a boy whose family was killed when the first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, and the story spans nearly two decades during which Jin grows to manhood and tries various jobs. The work deserves to be better known.

I can't remember what would have been the first, the first 4 I can pin point were Pokemon, Digimon, Cardcaptors and Sailor Moon but they were when I was about 12 so there could have been others before them that I don't remember or didn't realise were anime.
The first Manga I read was Naruto and that's in the last 6 months but I didn't read it in order as I was cross referencing. The first that I read properly was Karin (Chibi Vampire) and that was only last week.

The first anime I watched was Doraemon, it was on TV long long ago, and it is still airing now! XD
The first manga I read was also Doraemon, I asked my dad to buy it for me after I saw the manga in a shop. But I wonder why the sequence of Doraemon manga was from left to right, not right to left like any other manga??

I haven't read any manga, but the first anime I ever watched was either Dragonball or Sailormoon. That seemed so long ago!!!

Well, I'm not sure what my very first anime I've watched was, it could of been sailor moon, or hamtaro or pokemon, or something like that. But the first anime I watched on DVD was Slayers. The first manga I've read was Crescent Moon.

Well in like 1st grade I used to watch Pokemon... and then I stopped and saw no anime for years. Then I recently started to watch Naruto and I'm sooo obsessed with it! And now I love anime!

I thought she was so cool
When i Was about 7 i watched Pok-e-mon and quit
My first Manga i still read
i was i think 10 and it was the first Di Gi Chart
I still read those!
I also watched DBZ

ummm, the first ever anime I've ever watched was doraemon, and then pokemon and detective conan (after watching doraemon) and maybe digimon and One Piece(Italian dubbed, lol) after some years, then I quit watching anime, and now after a gap I'M BACK!!!
