I'll be travelling full time in an rv and would like to be on line to keep in touch with friends and family. Is this possible, using a satellite dish?

Hi. No, you will lose the signal when moving. You CAN use a broadband PS slot card but the service is not free. If you plan on just using the computer while stationary then you can always realign to the satellite.

We travel with my husband through RV. It is handy not having to pack every time you leave a job site, Gas is for shower and cooking is not that expensive(to save on it further on lite the water heater 30minutes before a shower), water stays warm as long as pilot stays lit,on some rv sites it is only 400-500(all electric&water included plus internet), RV don't loose value easily if in good conditions(some are over 15years old still selling for 15-20k). The best thing to do is look up were his next job could possibly be and compare hotel/apartment rate for 2 months to rv site for 2 months. We have found RV is great and we have 2 small kids 6 and 4yrs. Only con I can say is space but if it is just you and your husband that shouldn't be a problem. Good Luck!

You can get a wireless internet card that will give you internet anywhere for roughly 50 bucks a month. Verizon has one so does Sprint. Im sure there are others but those are the ones i thought of off the top of my head.

Yes. You will need a mobile broadband card for your laptop and the cell phone service that supports mobile internet access. You would probably also need a signal booster.
RVTV had a complete segment on mobile high speed internet.

Yeps. Contact your Internet Service Provider. This service is available at bit high cost. If you are from India, Tata Indicom will do your work.

Winegard and Kingdome both offer internet satellite systems (in motion) for r.v.'s. Contact your local dealer for more info.

Yes you can have Internet access while in a RV. You can not drive and use it unless you are in a HotSpot. Please visit the link below to get the information you need.
