"Different Types of Discharge
White: Thick, white discharge is common at the beginning and end of your cycle. Normal white discharge is not accompanied by itching. If itching is present, thick white discharge can indicate a yeast infection.
Clear and stretchy: This is "fertile" mucous and means you are ovulating.
Clear and watery: This occurs at different times of your cycle and can be particularly heavy after exercising.
Yellow or Green: May indicate an infection, especially if thick or clumpy like cottage cheese or has a foul odor.
Brown: May happen right after periods, and is just "cleaning out" your vagina. Old blood looks brown.
Spotting Blood/Brown Discharge: This may occur when you are ovulating/mid-cycle. Sometimes early in pregnancy you may have spotting or a brownish discharge at the time your period would normally come. If you have spotting at the time of your normal period rather than your usual amount of flow, and you have had sex without using birth control, you should check a pregnancy test."

If it's natural for you, then it's natural for you. Often, off-color discharge can be a sign of infection, but I'm assuming since you've been to the doctor, that they've been able to do a pelvic to make sure it's not an infection.

I have never heard infection for yellow. I have always discharged yellow for as long as I can remember. My doctor told me it was just because of oxidation.

you might want to get a second opinion, there could be small amounts or red blood cells in your discharge which might give it a yellowish color, or that could just be natural for you. if your doctor just told you it was bad and didn't do further tests to find out why or explain to you why, get a different doctor.
and i've heard stories from guy friends of green discharge, but who wouldn't get checked out if they had that??

Yellow discharge means an infection. This type of infection is produced by a parasite called Trichomona vaginallis, it's transmitted by sexual contact, and it produces yellow secretions and sometimes green secretions. The only way to get rid of this is if you go to the doctor and he gives you antibiotics (Metronidazol) because it will not go away by itself. Also your sexual partner needs to get treated also or you will get reinfected. Goodluck and hope this helps.

It could be herpes.
I would get it checked out by a gynocologist.
