The justice system in this country has gone to pot, it has taken years of laziness and ignorance on behalf of the government to get us into this hole and I can't even imagine how long it would take to dig us out.
The Americans have the right attitude to justice and although some people may think they can be overly harsh I think we can learn from them. It's food for thought.......................

P.S. I personally believe we should bring back capital punishment, but that's just me.

There has been a dramatic increase in the number of criminals in the UK over the past 15 years or so, this has stretched the prison service to bursting point and there are simply no places to keep criminals.

Senior police and police generally know why we have such an increase in criminals but they are not allowed to say what it is.

Sorry, you must just accept that for political reasons you cannot have this information, just let us say the increase in crime is directly correlated with the increase in police language translators

I think if some "A ole" is saying that this guy is safe to be let out into the community,

Then the rapist or peadophile should be given accomodation near to the person who signs the release papers.

Maybe then we would see these types of criminals serving the full sentence in future.

but hey! I suppose they need the space in prisons for the people who don´t pay their council tax

It's a symptom of the modern liberal age. The liberal person would suggest the person was ill and should be treated. Most of us think they are a monster and should be put down.

The key problem is that 'we' are not prepared to pay to cure them (if we actually knew how to) and 'we' are not prepared to take stronger action (castration, capital punishment, life incarceration or leave 'em to the vigilante's). Therefore, these people just drift back out onto the street and we wait for them to offend again.

I have to say I would personally go for compulsory castration - They use it in Sweden (as an early realease option for murderers). There are enough of us around so chopping the tackle off a few dangerous criminals can't do much harm to the human race overall.

Never mind the government spending the money, they throw it away to all and sundry anyway, the problem is, this rapist should NOT be let out especially if the police have said so.
my god, who in the right mind rapes an old lady?

he needs to be thrown on a deserted island which gets frequented by cannibals.

ps...
I mean that!!!

That is awful, sad to say only IF they get caught and IF they get sentenced then it's just a short part of their sentence that they serve before they DO get out not an IF then is it, the law in this country is all muddled up a mess.

This is the story of how far Britain has degenerated since May,1997 when that old traitor Blair was elected Prime Minister.

The One Eyed Bandit is following in his footsteps and making people think that this is the norm.

2 Tim 3: But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, 3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, 4 betrayers, headstrong, puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power; and from these turn away.

Sod overcrowded prisons.
A bloke near me went out and earned a few quid picking veg on a farm whilst he was on benefits to get his kids Christmas presents, he was caught, he got a year.
They wouldn't be overcrowded if people like this got community service and they saved the cells for the scumbags.
