I found these two plants growing near the edge of a pond/swamp-ish thing in the Boston area.

Not enough detail to know for sure, and comps aren't easy anyhow... but I think the first is probably Erigeron annuus, daisy fleabane. the second a Gnaphalium, cudweed.

There is no doubt that the first one is an Aster. There are a few of them that are native; in Michigan they are mostly white or purple and not so blue. No idea which Aster it is. Try looking up Aster novi-belgii (New York Aster) and Aster novae-anglii (New England Aster).
The second looks a lot like "Pussytoes" or Antennaria. A clue would be how tall is it. Good luck.

the sec one looks like some type of milk weed, there are so many of them...
the first does look like an aster, and i have seen it ere before in Texas, but it grows wild, so i thought of it as a weed. Which type I'm not certain. if it's not evasive, keep it(smile)

First one is definitely an aster but unsure of the second photo. sorry.

the first one could be some type of miniature aster, not to sure what the second one is.
