yes you are doing great! congrats!
they will be extremly sore and more a bunch because it is a drastic change for your mouth. it will get better with a little time.
Ask your parent or gaurdian for some asprin or tylenol that will help! also eat some soft serve ice cream and things like yogurt and apple sacuce for no chewing.
Also remember this pain and uncomfort when it's time to take them off that way if you are thinking about not using your retainer you can think to yourself "nah I better wear them cause I don't want to have gone through that for nothing!" your teeth will move back if you don't follow your doctors instructions!

I'm not sure about them looking straighter already, but they will hurt for a few days. Try drinking soup or slimfast for nutrients. You will be able to eat normally again soon. You can take ibuprofen for pain. Every month when you get them tightened they will hurt, 20 minutes before your appt you can eat lunch and take a pain reliever which will help slightly. Your teeth shouldn't wiggle, it is probably just because they hurt/feel strange that you think they are wiggling..... If they really are wiggly contact your ortho. Good luck

hey!
well i had braces for 2 years, i actually just got them off a few months ago! yeah, its totally normal for your teeth to feel wiggly. whenever you get them tightened or changed, they will tend to feel sensitive and sore. i suggest you take some Tylenol or something to ease the pain a bit. and i know, when i first got them, i had an extremely difficult time eating. the best things to eat right now would probably be soup, pudding, jello, ice-cream, etc. just anything really soft! you will notice change in your teeth very quickly, so yeah its normal that they already look straighter! when your teeth hurt.. that means they're moving! so think of it as a good thing!
hope that helps!

Sadly yes..I have had my braces off for years and I stilll remember the pain. Take some pain relivers and try orijel (numbs your mouth) That may help. Also you are going to lose alot of wieght because it hurts for you to eat. try drinking a milkshake and eat things like soup with soft vegies and pudding soft things like that. Its going to hurt for about a week with everyday getting better. Every time you get them tightened you'll feel pain but it wont be as bad, the pain will go away the next day. Good luck and hope you feel better soon.

yeah I've got braces too , and my teeth felt all wigley too . And it took me around 2 weeks to get used to eating and biting normal . I just put soft things to the very back of my mouth and mushed it with my gums . And ate lots of soup .
Braces suck hardcore , but just think in a few years your teeth are gonna be beautiful!

The best way to get used to them and to loosen them up is to chew on a straw. At first only bite down lightly, but after a few minutes it won't hurt as bad and you can chew down pretty hard. Do this a couple times a day until it doesn't hurt anymore, and try to do this everytime you get them tightened.

It's very normal for your teeth to move considerably in the first few days. Obviously, such motion will cause extreme pain. It shouldn't last too long though. I recall my teeth hurting for about four or five days. As far as food, the softer the better!

yes it's normal for your teeth to wiggle. Don't even try to chew anything, just liquids: soup, mashed potatoes, jello, etc. Also, the POINT of braces is to fix your teeth, there's nothing wrong with your teeth looking straighter.
