OMG get over the race issues dude, for Christ sake if a child is missing, it dosen't matter if she is red, yellow, black, white or martian green, the authorities and the media issue amber alerts.

You obviously have blinders on.
I live in Atlanta - when there's an Amber alert or a missing child, it's sad - no matter what race they are and all too often they are non-white and non-American or Hispanic. More than 75%.

If you are referencing Natalie Holloway - her parents fought long and hard to KEEP her in the news so she wouldn't be forgotten, because her case was not on US soil. Milk cartons, fliers, Amber alerts, and "America's Most Wanted" don't have the same affect in other countries. The media wouldn't have cared a whit about her if not for the persistence of her loved ones and the grass-roots campaign they funded and kept alive. Any family of any missing child can do the same thing.

where do you live? on an all white cult compound? try living out here in the real world. i would have to say that i see more minorities on the news due to kidnappings. as a matter of fact i logged onto my myspace account just before this and there was an amber alert for a young black male. grow up and lets forget about the whole race thing. people like you are the ones holding us back!

Maybe you just aren't noticing them, or live in an area where there aren't as many minorities. I live in Los Angeles, and see reports for missing kids of every background, way too often. You're right, it's a horrible thing for a parent to go through.

I don't know where you live, but in Florida, most all are minorities. In fact 75% of the news here is regarding minorities.

There are many, however, they don't make as good TV ratings as a blonde haired girl (Elizabeth Smart, Natalie Ann Holloway, etc.)
They do get reported, but the media does not spend nearly as much time as they do on the ones I've mentioned and this new one from Portugal. I bet you recognize the names above, can you remember the names of any of the missing minorities reported over the years?

They are minorities. Look on the walls at Walmart the next time you go.

The sex slavers prefer whites. But Nancy Grace covers all of them, so maybe the problem is your news source.
