if you search taxations and google federal reserve fraud, you will have your answer. also google constitution society.

it is mostly to pay for the interest on debt the government incurs that they shouldn't have had to since they can make the money debt free.

taxations main purpose (except service taxes like roads police etc) is wealth transferrance upwards. basically transferring your wealth accumulation to the ones who need it the least the wealthy. it is a fraud that they need the money they can make it themselves, the bankers by the way make the money out of thin air, costs them nearly nothing and they get in return real interest. boy nothing like legal conterfeiting wish I could do that myself.

RRRR

so that we can have money to bomb other countries such as Iraq and then spend billions more to rebuild Iraq while people in our own country who make it all possible by paying taxes can barely scrape by, most of them not able to even afford basic health care or medical coverage. Thank Georg W. for all of this.

Local, state, and federal governments levy taxes to provide public services. For example, your police patrols, public libraries, road maintenance, snow removal (in NYC), national defense, etc.

There is no free lunch. Governments raise tax revenues to provide public services to us.
