Is there something like OSHA in which you can report your apartment complex for being non-compliant with desperately needed repairs? My aunt's apartment is flooded. Like barely livable flooded. She is literally walking around on plastic to avoid stepping in water. All of her furniture is damaged and no one wants to help her.

There is no federal agency like OSHA unless her apartment is part of a HUD project. Your best bet is to look for local or possibly state government agencies.

If her furniture is damaged due to the complex's negligence of repairs, she needs to sue them to recover the cost of repair/replacement.

get a lawyer.

Also the health department might be able to help you..or city/county building inspector or code enforcement.

OSHA has to do with safety standards and practices during the construction of a building.

if it was flooded due to busted pipes or somethign of that nature that the management allowed to happen by not doing regular maintenance then yes they are liable, BUT if it was because of rain or any fault of her own, then she is responsible. Thats why most places recommend you carry renters insurance.

Go to the office who handles building codes and permits and report it.
